This site, administered and controlled by the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General (OIG), allows Chicago Police Department (CPD) personnel to anonymously submit a complaint or suggestion for improvement.
To verify a user’s status as a CPD member, the portal gathers “User Verification” information (name, employee number, star number, etc.) and cross-checks the information against CPD records to which OIG has direct access. Once the information has been authenticated, the user receives an email to complete their registration and create a password. After registration is completed, the user receives a User ID (PIN) that is used to log into the portal. Once the user has logged in, they can choose to remain anonymous. If the user chooses to remain anonymous, their account details and identifiers are not saved to the complaint or suggestion. Once a submission is made, a notification is sent to OIG and the user receives an on-screen acknowledgment message with a complaint identification number.
This system is for exclusive use by
Chicago Police Department personnel.
